I was born in Montreal, Canada on September 30, 2009 with a heart defect called Truncas Arteriosis which required surgery 30 days later. Since then I have had multiple procedures including 3 open heart surgeries. Today I am stable and play multiple sports including Hockey (Goalie), Baseball (Catcher) and Football (WR) thanks to my doctors and nurses at CHEO hospital in Ottawa and CHU Sainte-Justine in Montreal.
I try to give back to organizations as often as I can because me and my family have been helped out so much by so many people. The Children's Wish granted me a trip to Hollywood where I got to visit the set of the Goldberg's. Check out my photos on this site! Since I was granted a Wish I speak at a number of events talking about how important it is to give to the Wish Foundation because it really makes a difference. The CHEO Foundation and the hospital have done so much for and my family so I try to give my time as often as I can.
I enjoy talking so much that I decided to start a podcast where I can interview special people and talk about cool things.
Zander sits down with Darrell Fox, the younger brother of Terry Fox. In 1980, at the age of 17, Darrell joined Terry (and Terry's best friend Doug Alward) on his Marathon of Hope in Saint John, New Brunswick.
