I was born in Montreal, Canada on September 30, 2009 with a heart defect called Truncas Arteriosis which required surgery 30 days later. Since then I have had multiple procedures including 3 open heart surgeries. Today I am stable and play multiple sports including Hockey (Goalie), Baseball (Catcher) and Football (WR) thanks to my doctors and nurses at CHEO hospital in Ottawa and CHU Sainte-Justine in Montreal.
I try to give back to organizations as often as I can because me and my family have been helped out so much by so many people. The Children's Wish granted me a trip to Hollywood where I got to visit the set of the Goldberg's. Check out my photos on this site! Since I was granted a Wish I speak at a number of events talking about how important it is to give to the Wish Foundation because it really makes a difference. The CHEO Foundation and the hospital have done so much for and my family so I try to give my time as often as I can.
I enjoy talking so much that I decided to start a podcast where I can interview special people and talk about cool things.
Zander chats with Brooke Mackenzie Henderson, a Canadian professional golfer on the LPGA Tour. She was named the Canadian Press female athlete of the year for 2015, 2017 and 2018. She won her first major at age 18 in 2016 at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, becoming the event's youngest winner. With 10 LPGA wins as of April 2021, she has the most victories of any Canadian golfer on major professional tours.
