In this podcast series you will find information on wellness cleanses, yoga, healthy recipes, meditation, retreats I lead, and how your wellness and zero-waste living go hand in hand.
We talk food . . . a lot! I have a background in food science that goes back 25 years now. Over the course of that time, I have studied wellness from pretty much every aspect from Ayurveda to Chinese medicine, from Reiki to Reflexology, from Yoga to Tai Chi, from sound healing to my fun days at Stanford School of Medicine.
I look forward to learning about you, mentoring you, supporting you, and being your BIGGEST cheerleader right now on your wellness journey!
Do you know why you cry? What role does it play in your health? It is fascinating that we are the only species that is capable of emotional tears, as opposed to the other two types of tears that we all have (hydration tears - just keep our eyes moist, and protective tears - like what happens when you cut into an onion, or when people get pepper-sprayed, or a big dust of wind blows in your eyes). In this episode we go into:
- Why do you cry
- What role it plays in your health
- What you can learn from your tears
- The relationship between our stress hormones and tears
- How to deal with children and their tears and what we can learn from them May you never look at crying quite the same!
