Twin Peaks Pilot: Northwest Passage

The bucolic logging town of Twin Peaks is rocked by tragedy when the town sweetheart, Laura Palmer, is found dead, wrapped in plastic. As those who knew her (which seems to be everyone) reel from this crime, another victim is found alive, but in shock. Over the course of a busy 90-minute pilot, we spend... maybe surprisingly little time with FBI agent Dale Cooper as he begins to unravel the mystery, and a lot of time meeting the enormous cast of characters that comprise Twin Peaks.

TS TV DVD: I Saw The TV Glow

We talk about hit transgender film I SAW THE TV GLOW! We both really liked it, but also both walked away with some criticisms. Twin Peaks S1E2: Zen, or the Skill to Catch a Killer

With the help of his colleague Albert and the power of throwing rocks, Dale makes some stunning advances in the case. Meanwhile, Ben Horne is a goofy dipshit, the bozo boys get a scare from Leo, Josie does some snooping, and Nadine scores huge.

Twin Peaks S1E3: Rest In Pain

After last week’s crazy cliffhanger, Cooper announces almost directly to the camera that his dream contains clues that will solve everything, but also that he forgot the most important part. As a sign that he has become a bona fide citizen of Twin Peaks, the Bookhouse Boys invite him into their secret club dedicated to fighting the evil in the woods. To that end, they’ve kidnapped a French Canadian. Laura Palmer’s funeral inspires the men of Twin Peaks to punch each other. Meanwhile, Audrey uses a secret passageway to spy on her family, Josie fears for her life, Norma’s husband might be out of jail soon, and Leland is really breaking down, unconsoled by the appearance of a mysterious niece… but doesn’t she look almost exactly like Laura Palmer?
