Everyone makes mistakes. We're human. But the biggest mistake to make is not learning from things you got wrong. After over 600 episodes of The Brain Candy Podcast, Sarah Rice and Susie Meister realized their freewheeling, casual conversations didn't always get everything exactly right. And as they evolved and grew over the years and science developed, they changed their minds about a lot of things. So it's Things We Got Wrong to the rescue! This podcast is a celebration of humility, evolution, and growth, and says it's ok to make mistakes and change your mind. It's time to move forward by looking back!
Today we have describe why Brain Candy's fourth episode is still missing, making it officially our "lost" episode, and we try to recall what we said in it that was specifically so offensive. It was probably Susie's fault, let's face facts. We revisit our discussion of objectiphilia and discover a study that shows the type of people who are more likely to have this sexual attraction and our minds are blown. And it helped Susie not get so mad at their harmless sexual preference. Sarah is pissed about a couple who live their lives as "Victorian" (except for their incredibly not Victorian era BLOG). We hear a clip of Sarah making fun of Susie for not knowing what AC and DC stand for, but she reassures us she is a changed woman.
