Politics, policy and a side of pop culture: Major Garrett serves up a balanced diet of serious discussion, humor and food...for thought.
Doctor, medical advisor and professor Zeke Emanuel joins Major Garrett this week to discuss America's handling of COVID-19. Emanuel was critical of the Trump Administration's response to the virus, saying that while there have been small successes in testing and the handling of the virus in some states, the U.S. has a long way to go. He added that most likely there will be at least two hundred thousand deaths directly from the virus by the end of the year, with thousands more deaths caused indirectly by the virus. Plus, Major and Emanuel discuss the probability of having a successful vaccine by the end of the year and how America can better prepare itself for a new normal as states reopen slowly.
