At The Times, Jayson was responsible for a fabrication and plagiarism scandal that led to his resignation. Those events led to his own mental health journey, a rebirth as a mental health coach and business owner and this podcast.
Not talking about mental health place has been one of the last bastions in the resistance against busting stigma. The COVID-19 pandemic forced some of those conversations out into the open, creating opportunities for employees, leaders and those who help them.
Joining Jayson is Macey Cox who is a friend and a Learning and Development Specialist at the National Science Foundation and the co-chair of the Mental Health Employee Resource Group. The Employee Resource group advocates for better understanding of mental health issues among employees and leaders within the federal agency. Macy has 18 years of professional experience and human resources starting her career in the private sector working in recruitment for executives and at law firms.
Today, we're going to be having a conversation about mental health in the workplace, looking at some issues around mental health and stigma.
