On January 29, 2019, we lost James Ingram to the ravages of brain cancer. He was a true master of gospel and soul. Trying to recount his many hits and high profile collaborations is dizzying. We are fortunate that his legacy lives on through his music, including Grammy winning songs "Somewhere Out There” with Linda Rondstadt (1986) and “One Hundred Ways” (1991), and the unforgettable Grammy nominated “Just Once” (1994), to name a few. Whether you are a consummate fan, or just now learning about the impact of James Ingram’s music, we hope you enjoy this tribute by The Professor of Rock on today’s Pop Fix. If you have a favorite James Ingram song or memory, please share it in the comments below.
