Suicide and suicide prevention
September is Suicide Prevention Month.
In this Mindful of your Health episode, Molly Luevanos, a licensed professional counselor and chemical dependency counselor with Emergence Health Network discusses myths surrounding suicide and signs and behaviors to recognize if someone needs help. Luevanos explains how to start conversations with someone contemplating ending their life. She also listed the first steps if someone you know is suicidal and what you need to know about the mind of someone in crisis.
