National Headache Foundation

June is migraine and headache awareness month. Migraine is the 2nd most disabling illness in the world and the 3rd most common illness in the world. 1 billion people worldwide are living with migraine disease and headache disorders. Broadway Youth Center

Broadway Youth Center works to improve the quality of life experienced by youth (ages 12-24) who are LGBTQ+, underserved, and/or experiencing homelessness through the provision of youth-centered integrated healthcare and social services. Broadway Youth Center (otherwise known as BYC) provides basic needs assistance, resource advocacy, mental wellness supports, and education/vocational services. BYC is part of Howard Brown Health, one of the nation’s largest LGBTQ+ organizations. BYC sees anyone, regardless of ability to pay. BBQ For The Troops

For the 9th consecutive year, the Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA) have partnered with the United Service Organizations, (USO) of Illinois, to host “Barbecue for the Troops” community fundraising events. CATA dealers have rallied their communities to help raise nearly $950,000 to support USO Illinois programs and services for local military and their families, and their goal is to hit $1,000,000 this year. On Saturday July 16th, you can show your support by visiting participating car dealers and celebrate USO’s BBQ For the Troops. Bristol Renaissance Faire

Since 1979, Friends has been working to improve the health of the Chicago River system for the benefit of people, plants and animals; and by doing so, has laid the foundation for the river to be a beautiful, continuous, and easily accessible corridor of open space in the Chicago region. The organization’s work also includes education and outreach programs that inform and inspire people to help revitalize the Chicago River. As a result, the Chicago River is becoming a haven for wildlife and a treasured community resource.
