AJ Clingerman shares her story of bravery and perseverance.
A family tragedy in 2010 claimed her father and AJ found it hard to protect herself mentally, physically emotionally. When a former student started to bully her - the emotional toll was high.
Fighting back to equilibrium, AJ provides insight about:
*Being a female in a male-dominated environment
*What to do when someone tells you that you don’t belong
*Setting the bar, persevering and crushing that goal
*Not allowing anyone to push us out of where we belong
AJ is the co-owner of Fight Hub LLC, IBJJA, and Endurance Training center with her husband, James. She has trained in BJJ and Kickboxing and competed in many grappling tournaments and in 2015, AJ was the IBJJF’s #1 ranked Female Masters Blue Belt, in both Gi and No-Gi. In 2017, after receiving her purple belt, AJ proceeded on to win the world championship in No-Gi. AJ also runs a women’s only BJJ camp, Roll Model.
