A Republican lawmaker has filed a bill intending to provide tax relief to residents. The legislation from Representative Louis Riggs of northeastern Missouri’s Hannibal proposes an income tax deduction for every dollar paid in personal property tax.

He tells Anthony Morabith that he wants to offer a dollar-for-dollar deduction.
