Julia Van Maanen was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her efforts on and off the field. Julia really appreciates being on the field with her teammates and doing devotions with them before the games. She also likes the likes the leadership opportunities that she has learned from and continues to share with younger players. Julia has grown up on a family farm, so agriculture has always been a part of her life. She takes pride in helping her dad and siblings run the farm and loves the blessings and memories that have shared there. In addition to softball, Julia is also in choir, maintains a job as a CAN, volunteers in her community, and continues to dedicate time to her family on the farm. Julia is keeping her options open after high school and considering accounting or continuing a job in health care.
