Alia Schmidt was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her commitment and passion on and off the field. Her favorite part about high school sports is spending time with her friends and the new challenges each team presents. She says the excitement of competing on the court, diamond, or golf course can't be beat. To Alia, agriculture includes a vast array of many different opportunities. Agriculture has truly opened the door to endless possibilities for her. Alia also see’s agriculture as hard work and determination. Being around agriculture and having parents highly involved in the field has allowed her to grow up learning what it means to get your hands dirty. Alia is involved in softball, volleyball, golf, and FFA, serving as president. In her community she is in 4-H, a member of church youth group, volunteer at church functions, umpire youth softball, and coach youth volleyball. Alia’s future plans are to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine.
