Jack Hogan was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for his commitment and passion on and off the court, field, and course. The thing he loves most about high school sports is that they allow him to have fun with his friends. It gives him a chance to create fun memories with his team and also provides him with something fulfilling to do in his free time. The sports Jack competes in include basketball, football, and golf. He also participates in the National Honors Society, mentoring, and prayer partners. When he is not playing sports or working in school, Jack helps with the after-school daycare programs, reads at his local church, serves at community breakfasts, assists at blood drives, and helps coach younger basketball players at open gyms. To Jack, agriculture means working hard and being a steward of the land so that everyone can be fed. He has always lived in rural areas with large areas of farmland. He has also detasseled and rouged on those farms before. After he graduates high school, Jack plans to attend Iowa State University. While attending, he will study and major in ecology.
