Violet Bode was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her commitment and passion on and off the court. Her favorite part about high school sports are the relationships made with teammates. During the season, teammates spend so much time together through practice, bus rides, games, wins and losses and it creates an amazing comradery. To Violet, agriculture is a way to take pride in helping your community. Her family grows acres of vegetables and pumpkins, along with corn and beans. There are so many different branches of agriculture, all of which are helpful to farmers and civilians alike. Violet is involved in volleyball, track and field, softball, dance team, choir, band, drama, DECA, group and individual speech, quiz bowl, Bear Facts Radio Show, and Student Council. She also volunteers to package meals for Haiti and Mississippi, helps at softball academy for young players, Toys for Tots and many more community events. Her future plans are to attend Iowa State University and major in Sociology, working towards a career in Human Resources.
