Iowa Player with Heart: Melanie Buresh
Melanie Buresh was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her commitment and passion on and off the court, lanes, and course. The thing she loves most about high school sports is the community and making new friends, whether it's with other students, coaches, or parents. She enjoys challenging and improving herself along with all the memories she makes with her teammates. Lastly, she loves supporting sports knowing she is making an impact on other teammates and their experiences. Melanie competes in tennis, bowling, volleyball, cross country, and archery. She is involved in show choir, Key Club, FFA, FCA, and Honor Society. Outside of school and sports, she participates in her church as a student leader. Melanie has a strong love for agriculture. She has been surrounded by it her whole life and plans to continue being a part of it. She enjoys going in the combine with her father to harvest the corn and she loves the cattle that she grew up with. Melanie is a huge animal lover and is always trying her best to care for her animals. She also enjoys a good day of hardworking, because being outside is always fun for her. Melanie plans to attend Mount Mercy to major in nursing to become a nurse and help others while providing a positive attitude for those who need it the most.
