Mila Grothus was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her commitment and passion on and off the course and field. What she loves most about high school sports is that they allow her to meet and connect with people who she otherwise would not have. Mila is involved in cross country, track and field, basketball manager, band, jazz band, choir, drama, student council, and National Honor Society. Outside of school and sports, Mila participates in 4-H, dance, youth group and volunteers with her church. While she has never been particularly interested in agriculture, she knows that it is extremely important to the foundation of the world. Mila is planning on attending Loras College to major in music education with an undecided minor. She also plans to continue running by joining the cross-country and track teams. After college, she would like to become a band director and author.
