Ep 1: Did Russia cost Hillary Clinton the election?

Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, and US Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, both agreed that the Russians didn't cost Hillary Clinton the election. Now, Kushner was saying this to protect Donald Trump's fragile ego -- Trump lives in terror of the notion that his presidency is illegitimate. But why would Schumer say such a thing? Because Schumer is thinking about the future, and the need for Democrats to come up with a coherent message and forward-looking proposals that go beyond being anti-Trump. In this episode, John Aravosis discusses Kushner's and Schumer's comments, and more generally, the need for Democrats to come up with a positive message for 2018.

Ep 2: Trump bans transgender servicemembers in the military -- why?

Donald Trump announced a ban on transgender American serving in the US military. Trump not only reversed President Obama's earlier decision permitting trans troops to serve, Trump even surprised his own military leaders who were not involved in the decision, and who had previously signed off on letting trans people serve. Why did Trump do this? To divert conservative attention from his growing war with Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and to help Republicans at the ballot box in 2018. Donald Trump is now using the American Armed Forces for politics.

Ep 3: Is Melania Trump "really" fluent in 5 languages?

Melania Trump claims to be fluent in five languages (English, French, Italian, German and Slovenian). But is she really? John Aravosis, who actually does speak five languages (Spanish, French, Italian, Greek and English), looked into the issue, and what he found raises questions about just how well Melania Trump truly speaks French and Italian. Why does this matter? Because just this week, Donald Trump announced a new immigration policy whereby potential immigrants with skills, and fluency in English, will get favored treatment. So the issue of whether Melania Trump, America's most famous immigrant, even spoke English when she got here, and whether she's telling the truth about her overall language abilities, matters. Because her husband made it matter. And finally, this goes to the larger issue of this administration being one continuous ongoing lie. If they lie about the little stuff, imagine what they're doing with issues that really matter.

Is Donald Trump okay? For someone who made such a big deal about Hillary Clinton's health during the election, Trump wheezes an awful lot when he speaks. One recent example: Trump's speech honoring first responders who saved the lives of members of Congress under fire during a softball game. Throughout the talk, Trump's breathing is labored. In today's episode, I've removed all the words from Trump's talk, and simply left in the breathing. See what you think.
