The format of the show—regular sit-in guests with familiar interviews and segments—highlights not only the unique perspective of Tony Kornheiser but also the expertise of his network of friends.

Tony opens the show by opening up a bunch of mail that came to the studio while he was on vacation. He then goes around the NBA with David to get a sense of things before the playoffs start, and Nigel gives the news. During 'Old Guy Radio', Tony talks to legendary director Barry Levinson about his new HBO movie "Paterno", and he also talks about some his classic movies like "Diner", "Tin Men", and "The Natural". Lastly, they close out the show by opening up the Mailbag.
