We start off SAD with Jhené Aiko's song, "P*$$Y Fairy (OTW)", from her new album, Chilombo. We dive right into sexual compatibility, unhealthy dating behaviors, cuffing season, unrealistic relationship standards, and of course forgiveness and healing.

Intro song - Lo-fi Type Beat - Dreaming (Prod. Lee)
This episode we talk about Wale’s song “On Chill ft. Jeremih”, and we have A LOT to say. Labels? Social media? Acting like we’re heartless? A mess. This song is very relatable especially in this day and age so listen up to see how we feel about it. We also introduce a fun new Twitter segment, so stick around till the end!
This episode we cover Kehlani's song "You Know Wassup". We do a quick recap on her and YG's relationship and what sparked her to drop this song, and then we get into the heartbreak. Relationship trauma, personal demons, vices, betrayal, and all that mess people go through when they decide to be a "ride or die". We also talk about love languages and expressing our needs and knowing when to walk away.
This episode we listen to "Easy - Remix" by DaniLeigh ft. Chris Brown. We start it off talking about what "simpin" means to us, and then get into the bop of the week. A lot of relationships start with "taking it easy", but do we actually wanna take it easy? Or do we, as women, just say this because we think it's what dudes want? Do guys like controlling the speed of the relationship? We talk about it!
This episode we talk about "Do U Wrong" by Leven Kali ft. the amazing Syd. It's a song about meeting someone you really like and being extremely straightforward to get them. It's hard to find people that don't play games so this song's take is refreshing. Both Leven and Kali let the person they're after know that they are down for whatever and that the ball is in their court, so we talk about how that makes us feel on the receiving end.
We had to do it to em again with Kehlani. She dropped "Valentine's Day (Shameful)", so we couldn't just not do another episode for her. We talk about acting cool when you're actually upset, and hiding your feelings of jealousy to not seem crazy. We also talk about red flags when starting a relationship, and how we handle forgiveness and the fun part called "letting go" that comes after that. It's not easy but we're here for you to know that you're not alone!
We're finally talking about the ultimate simpin hours icon, The Weeknd. "After Hours" is one of the singles he released from his album also titled After Hours, and it's the perfect song for S.A.D. We reminisce on f***boys and their f*** ways and cry about it. Why is it so hard to be honest and loyal, and how do you expect someone to want to come back after all the things you've put them through? At least we're in this together saddies, we'll get through this!
Episode 8 we talk about the amazing song "Time" by Boogie ft. Snoh Aalegra, off his album Everythings For Sale. This is a sad one y'all! It's about two people being on different wavelengths in a relationship. Someone only trying to come through super late at night and never when they're sober, and the other person wanting it to be more than that and holding on even though it hurts. Sometimes we settle for something that's below our standards and convince ourselves it's real when we know deep down it's not, because we'd rather have something than nothing at all. We also got some great tweets this episode.
Today we finally talk about our queen Ari Lennox. "Broke" ft. JID is such a dope song with a cool theme we wanted to talk about - Dating while being broke. Does having money make it easier or does it complicate things? Or does being broke complicate things more? As broke babies ourselves, we discuss how having to work all the time and making ends meet can take a toll on a relationship, but hopefully make it stronger in the end. If anything, it forces you to enjoy the simple things and appreciate the time you have together.
It's our 10th episode and we're unofficially naming it Simpin After Drake. Drake is the pioneer of the simpin movement so it was only right to honor him by doing the simpiest song of all time, "Marvin's Room" off of Take Care. We talk about drunk dialing your exes, why we do or don't leave voicemails, feeling like you're better than the new person your ex is dealing with, and pouring your heart out to someone you're missing as a last act of desperation. Do you really miss them, or are you just drunk and lonely?
