Let me be clear - I don’t think Ted Haggard is a bad guy and it isn’t the hypocritical homophobia he preached or the meth habit that is his deadliest sin - it is the self loathing slothful crawl from grace that lasted years. Which, produced a documentary & 3 books that sold because of our addiction to gossip, and our modern day-colosseum-like approach to building someone up, only to tear them down. But Perhaps, New Life Church and the Christian community at large, is the guiltiest party of all in this story, for just short of committing an actual hate crime, they condemned the man because they just couldn’t stomach a gay preacher.<br>
