I want to just go over a few things that helped me when I was ranking and trying to get my clients results in the past that had a international business.
THIS MISTAKE IS MADE ALL OF THE TIME: If you want your traffic to come from USA and you live in perhaps India do not rank in India first! Rank in the USA then use a sub domain carrying over the authority and rank in the other countries second.
So,
Rank in harder markets first then build authority to your website and then make subdomains to then rank in the foreign countries.
So here are some of the tips:
1. Get US hosting
2. Have hosting and IP address in the country where you want to drive most of your leads from.
3. You backlinks should be from trusted sources in and from the country your want to increase website traffic from.
4. Anchor text needs to be in the language of the country you want to increase traffic from.
5. Validate your entity , especially if you want to drive leads and sales to your website from the USA you need to validate your entity with social profiles , press releases , Google my business and high authority citations for your business.
6. Use a TLD that matches the country you want to rank in , so if the USA go for a .com or .net instead of a .in
