Kiran Deol is a filmmaker, comedian and actor. She tours regularly as a stand-up comedian and has appeared on TV shows like “Modern Family” and “How to Get Away with Murder.” Kiran is currently working on “Arranged,” a half-hour comedy pilot on which she plays one of the leads.
Kiran has produced films including “Woman Rebel,” which was shortlisted for an Oscar, and “American Haze,” which she made for Sundance.
Kiran talks with Bassem about immigrant patriotism, filmmaking, and her experiences as a South Asian woman in Hollywood.
