A podcast about Doctor Who!
Every fan has their go-to episodes for introducing newbies, so for our launch episodes we’re unboxing our own preferred starter kit with guests who have never watched Doctor Who before.
This week Comedian Jen Saunderson is the Regenerates' companion as Chan and Riley attempt to bring her into the Whovian fold with a favorite Ninth Doctor storyline, “The Empty Child.” Journey with them through Blitz-plagued London as they swoon over Captain Jack Harkness, ruminate on Doctors come and gone, and misspeak the names of so many celebrities.

Our Starter Kit continues with the Tenth Doctor. Chan and Riley are joined by TV host J. Keith Van Straaten as they chew their way through this series two episode "Tooth and Claw." How clear is the Doctor's background to a novice viewer, do his inherent morals serve as clear motivations for plot direction and just which older British lady is playing the Queen this time around? Let us know at @regeneratespod if you are amused and what Tenth Doctor episode would be in your starter kit?
Chan and Riley are joined by comedian Erika Curry as they continue their Starter Kit run with the Matt Smith debut adventure, 'The Eleventh Hour.' Riley fangirls out about being fangirled, Chan slowly learns his own name and Erika is full of questions about nurses and "magic wands." Will Erika abandon her fiance to go running away on the TARDIS, or will she be swayed by a fancy endorsement deal? Is this podcast protected? Tell us on Twitter at @RegeneratesPod, and let us know what Eleventh Doctor episode would have been in your Starter Kit!
Chan and Riley end their four-part Starter Kit series with one last hurrah aboard 'Mummy on the Orient Express' with guest Ray Stakenas. We discuss the building blocks of Peter Capaldi's Twelfth Doctor, Ray's opinions on 80's era sci-fi, and Riley confesses to one of her closeted fandoms. Find out our Starter Kit track record, and unlock the mysteries of the Foretold. Hit us up on Facebook and follow us on Twitter @RegeneratesPod to tell us if you're our mummy and what Twelfth Doctor episode would've been in your Starter Kit!
A new series of Doctor Who has been located, link has been established! Chan and Riley splash on into the "The Pilot" puddle with guest Sara Clarke-Chan. Smile at things they don't understand, debate just what exactly Nardole's deal is, and toss on your favorite velvet coat because it's Doctor time again and what the hell? Hit us up at @regeneratespod on twitter to tell us what you thought of the premiere!
Riley and Chan put on a 'Smile' as they give Nardole the slip and head off into the future. Our Regenerates muck in to another space ark storyline where they grouse about inconsistent robots, ponder the nature of algae fancying, and visit several happy happy hallways. Negotiate with your browser until it takes you to our Facebook page or send us some Emoji on Twitter at @regeneratespod to let us know what you thought of 'Smile.'
Riley and Chan are joined by Time Lady (and comic book artist) Rachael Stott to discuss "Thin Ice." Marvel with us at the 1814 Frost fair, listen as Rachael's British politeness faces off against Riley's midwesterness, and gush about Peter's hair, Peter's hair, and Peter's hair. Hit us up on Twitter at @RegeneratesPod or find us on Facebook to let us know what you thought of the episode!
Chan and Riley discuss Knock Knock, the fourth episode of season 10. Is it clear when an episode is trying to be scary, does it matter when it isn't and just how many wood puns could Riley rattle off if she didn't remember she was on a podcast about Doctor Who? At least 2x4 more. Tell us how you felt about this "and Peggy" of an episode on @regeneratespod or on Facebook!
Chan and Riley take a deep breath of 'Oxygen' as their trip through series 10 continues. Journey into space and a progressive series of Peter Capaldi Doctor speeches, discuss the nature of online pun competitions and really get under Nardole's skin. No for real is he a robot or what? Let us know your thoughts on Facebook or @regeneratespod and make sure not to use up your Average Breaths.
Chan has fled the country so Riley has recruited temporary companion Joseph Scrimshaw to help her explore series 10, episode six, 'Extremis.' Listen as they discuss the reality of the Master as the mirror to the Doctor, the finer points of "none of this is real" episodes in sci-fi, and how awkward it is when the Pope blocks your game. Tell us your thoughts on the episodes on Facebook or @regeneratespod!
