There is no doubt that Jeff Carney has lived a full life. He played on a State Championship basketball team in high school, he landed a job as a photographer for the Associated Press, shot Husker football games in some of their biggest games and he even shot “The Miracle in Missouri”- the only photographer in the crowd that night to get that series of shots.
After years in leadership running the Digital Department at Berkshire Hathaway and Lee Enterprises (owners of the Omaha World Herald and Lincoln Journal Star), Jeff took an early retirement package and has started Carney Photography.
In his first year of operation, Carney Photography had already won awards for a stirring photo he took of Chimney Rock in Western Nebraska. Carney Photography specializes in visual storytelling -- whether photography, video, or drone aerials - Jeff believes it's one of the most effective ways of sharing a message with an editorial or commercial audience. What online news audiences have known for years is now transforming the world of marketing. Carney photography helps to tell that story.
In this episode, you'll learn:
How the Nebraska Cornhuskers inadvertently played a role in Jeff's career
Ways to lead through conflict
Why it's important to be out front and ahead of issues instead of reactive
What's most important when starting a business
