The official opening of the Broadmoor was in 1918, a building constructed on the same land where the original Broadmoor Casino stood before burning to the ground. Once a hotel that only allowed “old school money tabs” or cash as forms of payment, the Broadmoor’s concession to the 21st century is that they now accept credit cards.
