A Jewish attorney and his Gentile colleague talk shop about life, the practice of law, and all things both kosher…and not so much. Your hosts are Miles Terry and Mark Goldfeder. One grew up in a synagogue and the other a church. One is an ordained Rabbi, the other was an Associate Youth Pastor once, but just finished his MDIV. Both of them “walked away” from the clergy professionally initially to pursue the practice of law and that shared legal profession has taken them right back to the front doors of churches and synagogues – entities they now represent. They talk about the everyday challenges their clients continually face and discuss all things Judeo- Christian-American along the way.
In this episode of the "Better Gird Up" Podcast, Goldfeder is out of the office but Miles Terry takes a moment to put a spotlight on his childhood Pastor after discovering a long lost audio file from a sermon he gave almost 30 years ago. As a kid growing up in church – to me John Henry Bragg was more than a pastor. He was a role model, a mentor, a hunting buddy, and a friend. More than twenty-five years have passed since his death, and like anything else, it’s easy for life to go on and memories to fade – but we think it’s important to go back, remember, and bring honor and respect to those who were trailblazers in the ministry. In this episode, take a moment and join the rest of Miles Terry’s church family from 1995 as we hear a sermon based on Proverbs 22:1 from Pastor Johnny Bragg.
