Sup Doc: A Documentary Podcast
116 - AMANDA KNOX w Sarah Enni
For our Mayhem Series of True Crime documentaries we recap the 2015 documentary Amanda Knox on Netflix.
Amanda Knox was a year old American student studying abroad in Italy. One morning in November 2007 her roommate Meredith Kercher was found brutally murdered in their home. The small Italian town of Perugia became a media feeding ground for morbid details about Meredith, Amanda, and Amanda’s boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito. Amanda and Raffaele were thrown in prison for four years for a murder they were ultimately acquitted of.
Curiously enough, it was just reported that Amanda Knox is going back to Italy for the first time since her arrest to participate in a Innocence Project conference.
Our guest Sarah Enni is an author, podcaster, and journalist in Los Angeles. Her debut young adult novel, Tell Me Everything, is out now. She hosts the First Draft podcast, where she talks shop with other storytellers. And she went to the same college as Amanda Knox!
