Joyeuse Muhorakeye
Joyeuse Muhorakeye was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her efforts on and off the field. Her favorite thing about high school sports is that it gives kids an opportunity to enhance, embrace and show their talents to the rest of the world. She also loves the bonds that are created through sports. To Joyeuse agriculture was a huge part of her childhood. She grew up on a small farm called “Akarima Kigikoni” where she grew vegetables. Agriculture reminds her of where she came from and makes her feel like she is giving back to the world. Joyeuse is involved in soccer, cross country, FFA, track, Adventure Crew, Democracy and Me (a student podcast), and World Play. Joyeuse is from the country of Rwanda and is very involved in her community. She is also a part of College Hill Agriculture Resource Management which helps to solve the problem of food security in her community.
