Minnesota Player with Heart: Madison Passer
Madison Passer was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her commitment and passion on and off the court and field. What she loves most about high school sports is that they provide valuable opportunities for personal growth and self-discovery. Additionally, the self-discipline and dedication required to excel in sports can be transferred to many different aspects in the real world; ultimately helping her prepare for life beyond high school. Madison is involved in volleyball and track and field, serving as a captain for both. She is the vice president of her FFA chapter, a member of her NHS chapter, a section leader and secretary for her concert band, jazz band, marching band, and pep band, and a mentor for the Big Rebel Little Rebel Program. Some community activities that she participates in are kindergarten/preschool help at the end of the school day, serving breakfast at the local VFW, helping run the community's blood drive, giving food packages for her school's backpack program, helping out at her church's holiday carnivals and playing taps for her local funeral home. Agriculture, to Madison, means everything. As the daughter of a farmer who produces soybeans and corn, she has been able to see the dedication and the hard work it takes to provide for her community first-hand. Being the vice president of her FFA chapter, participating in many region and state contests, and also having her own SAE project make it to the state level has only deepened her appreciation and passion for this field. She has learned throughout the years that agriculture is not only a profession, it is a way of life. Although undecided about where she wants to go to college, she is planning on majoring in communication disorders.
