Wisconsin Player with Heart: Luke Hand
Luke Hand was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for his commitment and passion on and off the court and field. What he loves most about high school sports is being able to step up as a role model to the underclassmen because when he was a freshman, he looked up to the upperclassmen. Being part of a team means building friendships that go beyond the field. Luke participates in varsity football, basketball, tennis, and trap shooting. Outside of sports, he is involved in FFA and Lima Lites 4-H. Agriculture to Luke means more to him than just livestock and crops; it’s a way of life. His family has been rooted in agriculture. Through raising show cattle, he has learned the value of hard work, determination, and resilience. Luke’s goal is to attend college to pursue a degree in agriculture engineering. His dream job would be to work for John Deere.
