Abel Kooima was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for his commitment and passion on and off the field. His favorite part about high school sports is being a part of a team with goals bigger than themselves. To Abel, agriculture is the backbone of our country, it’s bigger than food, it’s new technology and capabilities taking us into the future. Abel is involved football, FFA, student representatives, outdoor club, and tennis, and he’s an intern for the Waupun Fire Department. After high school, Abel wants to pursue the training and education to become a full-time firefighter so that he can serve his community in a way that inspires hope.
