Wisconsin Player with Heart: Luke Patterson
Luke Patterson was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for his commitment and passion on and off the court and field. The thing he loves most about high school is being able to compete and meet new people who are interested in the same things as him. Luke is involved in cross country, basketball and track field, National Honor Society, band, FCA, and FFA as the president. He also participates in 4H showing beef cattle, sheep and pigs, quizbowl, skillathon, and livestock judging where he has competed in numerous national contests. In his free time, he volunteers at his church to help with fundraisers. While growing up on the family farm, Luke has learned valuable life lessons such as getting up early and working hard. Agriculture has given him numerous opportunities to learn and grow as a person and he will forever be grateful for that. After long days, he knows that he is lucky to be producing food to feed others. Luke plans on attending UW Platteville for animal science. He would like to return to the family farm after gaining experience to continue working and developing their operation.
